This section has been inserted on the web site to try and compile a comprehensive list of coalminers both underground and surface workers, who worked the pits of the CANNOCK CHASE COALFIELD throughout its life. The  purpose of the list is to record as many coal miners as possible also to perhaps help people who have moved from the area to trace an ancestor.

It is hoped that by voluntary public contribution the list will be achieved. You can send names of men or women and as much relevant information as possible about those who worked the pits of this coalfield to westcannock5s@yahoo.com

The information held on the pages of these list is compiled from the memories of other miners or miners families and no records are or will be kept other than these recollections or family submissions.

Any person wishing to have his or her name removed from any of the lists below or considers their details to be incorrect and wishes to have them amended or removed please contact enquiries@ccmhs.co.uk  and place the "name, colliery and remove" in the main text. Likewise the same should be done for amendments to the list ie: place the "name, colliery and job title and amend" in the main body of the text.
